About Gulbranson Excavating

Founded in 1957 by Merlin Gulbranson, Gulbranson Excavating Co. began its business by cutting and selling Christmas trees in Eveleth, Minnesota. Shortly after, Gulbranson expanded the business by taking on some excavating road building, utility, sewer, and water projects. As the business grew, so did the company’s equipment fleet – beginning with a couple of John Deere Dozers and Backhoes.

Since 1957, Gulbranson Excavating Company has been a family run business specializing in underground utility installation along with aerial installation. From Directional Boring, Trenching, Utility plowing, Aerial utility installation, etc.
